Cline is an open-source autonomous coding agent available as a VS Code extension, JetBrains plugin, CLI, web-based Kanban board, and an SDK. It edits code across your project, runs bash commands watching output in real time, and supports a Plan/Act mode toggle for human-in-the-loop control. Model-agnostic (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, Bedrock, Azure, Ollama), MCP-native, with multi-agent teams, scheduled agents, and messaging-platform connectors (Slack, Telegram, Discord).
